Jordan Duffy Releases Empowering “Wonder Woman”

Singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, and audio engineer Jordan Duffy recently released, “Wonder Woman,” a song about taking back your power.

Jordan explains, “Everyone puts on their own armor to face the world and at the end of a long day this is the perfect song to throw on and dance your heart out to.”

Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, Jordan began her career writing songs about heartbreak, female empowerment, exploding toads, one-night stands, and zombie lovers. Her first professional performance took place at the age of 18 when she opened for guitarist Dickie Betts of The Allman Brothers Band.

While studying and performing opera in college, she discovered her four-octave range, followed by landing the gig as the first female audio engineer at Earwolf/Stitcher Podcasts, where she had the opportunity to sing to Weird Al Yankovic, perform her rendition of “Total Eclipse of the Fart” on ‘The Office Ladies,’ and took on the role of vocalist for the ‘Just Between Us’ Podcast.

Jordan’s sound extends across an array of genres, including indie, folk, pop, and alternative. Her influences include Adele, Lake Street Dive, Yola, and Billy Joel.

Opening on a delicious pop-rock shuffle, “Wonder Woman” travels on gleaming guitars brimming with thrumming energy and heady momentum. Jordan’s rich, evocative voice, at once nuanced and dripping with contoured tones, imbues the lyrics with stimulating coloration and sonic oomph.

Radiant vocal harmonies add depth and dimension to the tune, infusing the song with glowing surfaces.

“You aren’t worth my time / Cause I am wonder / Wonder woman / I have the power / And the confidence and strength.”

Humming with luscious pop-rock dynamics and the vibrant, soulful voice of Jordan Duffy, “Wonder Woman” hits the sweet spot.
