Scottish singer-songwriter NATI. releases her new EP, Older, a five-track collection of songs that will be followed by the ‘Older’ tour in November, beginning in Stirling and ending in Edinburgh.
Hailing from a quaint coastal haven in the heart of Scotland, NATI. has ignited a global phenomenon that’s shaking up the music scene. Shedding her former name Natidreddd, she emerges as NATI., symbolizing a thrilling transformation perfectly timed for her electrifying upcoming tour at the end of this year.
Just three years ago, NATI. was playing the guitar in her bedroom with the goal of keeping herself entertained during lockdown. Little did she anticipate that she would also bring smiles to the faces of hundreds of thousands of people each week, cultivating a community that adored NATI. not only for her musical talent and dreamy vocals but also for her immense, warm, and inclusive personality that uplifts spirits all around the world.
Now, with almost two million followers, she’s shared the stage with artists such as Tidelines, Newton Faulkner, and Simply Red, along with collecting millions of streams on Spotify.
The title track sees NATI. strutting the range of her voice, infusing the lyrics with rounded nuances, allowing her deluxe voice to soar on the chorus.
“Stay,” opens on tones reminiscent of Joni Mitchell crossed with Taylor Swift as NATI.’s evocative vocals imbue the lyrics with vibrant timbres. The feel and flow of the tune is buoyantly carefree.
Entry points include “Open Road,” a song about starting again, which blends folk and pop flavors atop a rhythm bubbling with energy as lusciously layered harmonies fill the tune with aromas of retro pop and R&B.

“Ashes” starts off low on an acoustic guitar, and then mousses up to thrumming washes of gleaming colors as rumbling percussion injects the tune with throbbing dynamics. Arguably the best track on the EP because of its undulating sway and NATI.’s mobile tonal inflections, “Ashes” ties the EP off in grand fashion.
With Older, NATI. zeros in on an ultra-catchy folk-pop sound, hitting the sonic sweet spot with her exquisitely lilting voice.
