Product Review: Luna Fauna Eclipse Acoustic/Electric Guitar in Transparent Pink

To craft fine stringed instruments with artistic sensibility that are comfortable, affordable, and inspire people of all ages and walks of life on their musical journey.”

–Luna Guitars’ Mission

Every girl needs a pink guitar, and it is great to be able to get one that is high quality and reasonably priced. The Luna Fauna Eclipse Trans-Pink Acoustic/Electric guitar plays like a dream, so it is only fitting it is donned with the name Luna. Luna Guitars, founded in 2005 by stained-glass artist Yvonne de Villiers, are most notable for their unique enhancements that are heavily influenced by Yvonne’s glass work.

So it is not exceptional that the first thing to pop out on this guitar is the body that looks as if it is made of painted glass. The bright cotton candy-pink color will momentarily take your breath away and it is sweet that you can see the swirling maple through the stain. The phases of the moons along the rosewood fret board are an intimate detail and the mother-of-pearl mimics the color of the moon perfectly. Luna’s logo sits proudly on the headstock, and a beautifully shaped crescent moon cradles the sound hole of the guitar. Even the tuning pegs are made of a soft, satin nickel careful not to over-power the rest of the details of the guitar. The parlor style body of the guitar is small which is perfect for those of smaller frames, and the action and slim fingerboard are just right for petite fingers.

This guitar also sounds as good as it looks. Strung with D’Addario acoustic strings, the sound is full and bright, whether played plugged in or not. The B-Band provides a three-band equalizer with volume control, built-in tuner and a phase switch that helps to fight against feedback. It is very easy to plug in and adjust until you get just the sound you are craving.

Don’t be bashful up on stage because there is nowhere to hide while holding the Luna Fauna Eclipse Trans-Pink Acoustic/Electric Guitar. Or if you simply want to feel like you are up on stage, then this is the right guitar for you.
