Style Guide: July Fourth Fashion

A celebrated holiday is a perfect excuse to pump up your personal style, and the fourth of July is no exception.  Traditionally, it’s a time for fun-filled get-togethers, outdoor grilling, and spectacular firework displays.  This year, go a step further by donning the American flag’s stars and stripes in your wardrobe.  There’s a multitude of ways to stylishly get into the patriotic spirit.  Americana details are popping up on your favorite closet pieces to have you covered from head to toe. Guitar girls and fashionistas alike will look ultra-fresh in these latest designs decked out in red, white, and blue.

Clothing:  Nothing is more American or classic rock n’ roll than jeans and t-shirt.  Revamp this simplistic combination with destroyed denim shorts or leggings and graphic printed tees decorated in the American flag.  If the weather turns chilly, throw on a matching jacket or sweater to complement your ensemble.  Think outside-the-box with cute country overalls or sweet cotton dresses.  Even socks and tights are available in red, white, and blue shades.  Planning on taking a dip into the pool? Make sure to adorn your 4th of July bikini.

Shoes and Accessories:  This same flag pattern can be found on shoes of every style: wedges, platforms, or even comfy flats and flip-flops.  You’ll need a fantastic tote to carry all your supplies needed for the festivities, and a great pair of sunglasses to shade you from the hot July sun.  Wrap up in a patriotic scarf or tie your hair up in bows and turbans.  If you’re really feeling trendy this Independence Day, paint your nails in stars and stripes.

There’s no such thing as too much American pride when it comes to your style.  It makes your celebration that much more enjoyable and it makes you look completely fashion forward.  Even after rocking your newly coveted items for the fourth, try pairing them with other staples for a look that’s classic and mega-chic.
