Los Angeles CA, May 24, 2019 — The 2019 Recording Industry Golf & Poker Tournament™ (RIGT) is quickly approaching on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Sand Canyon Country Club (formerly known as Robinson Ranch Golf Club) in Santa Clarita, CA, with the shotgun start at 12:00 noon. This year’s event also includes the return of the Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament – a very popular addition that was a highlight of the last two years’ outings. Event organizer Karen Dunn of KMD Productions, LLC, is still accepting entries for participants and has a limited number of sponsorships still available (visit https://2019rigt.eventbrite.com for more information, or call Karen Dunn at 925-708-0307).
Newly announced sponsors include Westlake Pro with Avid (sponsoring a poker table); TransAudio Group with ATC (sponsoring the beverage cart); Leapwing Audio and Slate Companies as hole sponsors; and AVN | Sys as a 19th Hole co-sponsor. Also newly announced is the return of the Harley Davidson hole-in-one prize, offered by Bartels Insurance Agency (a 2019 Harley Davidson Fat Boy®, valued at $20,000, will be awarded to any golfer getting a hole-in-one on the Desert 5 hole).
Previously announced sponsors include Audio-Technica, Lurssen Mastering, NAMM, David Angress Consulting, Bob Hodas Acoustic Analysis, The Recording Studio Insurance Program and studioexpresso.
The RIGT is again supporting the music program at A Place Called Home, a dynamic community center and safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where underserved youth 8-21 years old are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being.
Recording veterans Ed Cherney and Al Schmitt will return as Honorary Co-Chairs for the afternoon’s festivities.
In addition to the 18 holes of pristine golfing, poker, and the Harley Davidson hole-in-one, the day will include a $1 million shoot-out opportunity, a $5,000 Putting Contest, a chance at $10,000 cash, great food, a reception and awards dinner, and more. Dunn and the industry legend Rose Mann-Cherney will be driving the “world famous tequila cart” to make sure all of the day’s participants are playing their best.
