Americanafest musicians to check out for Wednesday, September 11

With Americanafest in full swing, and although there are a plethora of phenomenal musicians, male and female alike to perform, we have handpicked some incredible female musicians to check out for today, Wednesday, September 11.

1. Lizzie No – TRUE Music Room at Cambria – September 11 @ 10:00 pm – No is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and harpist who recently released her critically-acclaimed debut album, Vanity. No’s music focuses on characters with unique narratives and has performed at Americanafest, South by Southwest, among others. She also won the American Songwriter Magazine Lyrics Contest.

2. Tanya Tucker – 3rd & Lindsley – September 11 @ 11pm – The iconic Tucker just released her Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings produced record, While I’m Livin,’ and has been receiving ample praise, even claiming it might be her best career record yet (The New Yorker). Tucker has been in the music industry for over thirty decades, and hit the country music scene big with her hit “Delta Dawn” in 1972 at the tender age of 13.

3. Jade Bird – Mercy Lounge – September 11 @ 11:59 pm – Bird is one heck of a performer and singer-songwriter, hailing from England. Her live and energetic shows are so transpiring that the audience is right along with her every step of the way. Bird came on the scene with her self-titled debut album earlier this year. Since then, she’s been performing the festival route and touring extensively, including several showcases.

4. Maggie Rose – 3rd & Lindsley – September 11 @ 11:59pm – Rose has been making waves with her music since her debut release, Change the Whole Thing, in 2018. Her music is personafied as country soul, and Rose has quite a bit of it to go around. In 2018, she was named YouTube’s Emerging Artist and Pandora’s Artist to Watch.

5. Martha Spencer – ACME Feed & Seed – September 11 @ 6pm – Spencer is a Blue Ridge Mountain from Virginia raised gal who plays several instruments, including guitar, fiddle, banjo, bass, dulcimer and mandolin. She even flatfoots and clogs! She just released her solo album that has been heralded by critics including Pop Matters, Rolling Stone Country and more.
