Fender releases The Meteora from Parallel Universe Collection

Next up in Fender’s Parallel Universe Collection line is The Meteora which features a sleek new limited-edition offset body shape. With both Jazzmaster and Telecaster guitar features, The Meteora is distinctly Fender. Josh Hurst, a Principal Engineer for Fender of 13 years, originally designed the Meteora concept in 2011. After seven years, the Meteora has come to life.

First debuted at Winter NAMM with much buzz among players, the limited edition Parallel Universe Collection offers twisted takes on classic models, surprising updates on vintage machines, and a brand-new Fender body shape destined to warp minds and stimulate new sounds.

Motion meets balance with a touch of elegance with The Meteora ($1,999.99), a sleek new limited-edition body shape that carries on our tradition of arresting aesthetic design. The sound is as propulsive as its visually stimulating lines—it wants to roar on stage, thanks to the two biting Custom Shop Tele® pickups. With its brand-new offset body shape, The Meteora has guts and grace and is distinctively Fender. More specs below:

  • Custom Shop Twisted Tele neck pickup
  • 25.5”-scale American Professional Jazzmaster® maple neck
  • 9.5”- radius fingerboard for enhanced playability
  • Regal block inlays
  • 22 narrow-tall frets and a bone nut
  • An ash body, lacquer finish
  • Custom black single-ply pickguard
