ALT-POP DUO BEAU RELEASE NEW SONG, “CAPTIVATE”, CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED DUO TO DELIVER NEW MUSIC LATER IN THE YEAR

October 8, 2021 (Los Angeles, CA) – Alt-pop duo and Range Media recording artists, Beau today release their single and music video “Captivated” their first release in partnership with Virgin Music Label & Artist Services. The New York Times compared Beau to “a cross between Lana Del Rey and Laura Marling” and Paper Magazine exclaimed they were “… making waves with haunting vocals and deeply emotional lyrics.”

“Captivated” is a touching ballad, with a heartfelt performance from singer/songwriters Heather Goldin and Emma Jenney. The song features a steady beat with a combination of electronic drums, strings, piano, bass, creating a soothing and emotional backdrop showcasing Heather’s vocals. The lyrics hit that sweet spot as Heather sings about obsession, love, and heartbreak.
The accompanying video was filmed in New York City and follows the theme set forth in the lyrics. The nostalgic imagery and filters continue the aesthetic trend that Beau is known for.
Ryan McGinley shot them for the cover of Wonderland Magazine and they have garnered attention from other tastemaker media outlets in addition to the New York Times and Paper,  including NME, Noisey, W Magazine, Vanity Fair, and more.
Beau has toured the world opening for acts including the Voidz, Miike Snow, Børns, Edward Sharpe and have become well-known staples near the fashion runway, performing at fashion shows in Paris for Chloe and in NYC for Rebecca Minkoff.
The duo is now promoting new music, recorded at the iconic Electric Lady Studios with collaborators Nick Brown (Foster the People, Soccer Mommy, The Knocks) and GRAMMY award-winning producers Nicholas Vernhes (War On Drugs) and Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow).
Beau will be releasing new music later in 2021.
