Carrie Underwood was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (September 20th), becoming the 2,646th star on the Walk right outside the famed Capitol Records building on North Vine Street.
“How does a girl from Checotah, Okla., end up with a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame? I will tell you how.” She raved about her family, including her parents and her husband Mike Fisher, who she called “an incredible man who thinks I’m so much better than I am in every way.” She also spoke to her three-and-a-half-year-old son, saying “Isaiah Michael, I love you so much…and I’m proud of you, and I believe in you, too.” https://www.instagram.com/p/Bn96NEiBkxK/
Former American Idol judge Simon Cowell celebrated Carrie, explaining he once predicted she would become the best-selling artist in the history of the show. CMA co-host and friend Brad Paisley praised not only her career but her humanitarian efforts. “She not only goes into our [country] format and starts having one hit record after another — and is still having hit records — she goes from there to doing good works in this world, and making sure that she’s giving back,” he said. “Between herself, Mike, her family — they live the kind of life all of us would be proud to live.”
Carrie just released her new album, Cry Pretty, last week and has hit the airwaves with her latest song, the inspirational “Love Wins.”
