Los Angeles (May 2022): On May 19, 2022, Gritty In Pink is partnering with Charity
Bomb, a nonprofit organization that promotes positive mental health through Operation
GENzEQ. Gritty In Pink continuously highlights female voices and calls for action on
important issues, including America’s ongoing mental health crisis. This year, Gritty In
Pink’s Mental Health Awareness Month livestream fundraiser, benefiting Charity Bomb,
will be on 5/19 at 5p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST on @grittyinpinklife Instagram Live.
Gritty In Pink is featuring both mental health advocates and musicians for Mental
Health Action Day, a nationwide initiative powered by MTV Networks. The show will
feature performances from Southern California’s own The Aquadolls, feel-good singer
MACKandgold, creator and indie artist Lexy Panterra, Chinese-Canadian alt-pop
singer Vicki Lovelee, and songstress Dani Hagan with special appearances from
singer Madeline Rosene and American Idol starlet Madison Watkins. The show will
also be hosted by Shiragirl, Rainey P, and Gritty In Pink’s Bandmate of the Month
Xtine Reckless.
Operation GENzEQ promotes emotional intelligence (EI) in youth and using
measurements of emotional quotient (EQ), or the measurement of one’s emotional
intelligence through controlling/knowing one’s emotions and recognizing others’
emotions. Charity Bomb focuses on preventative solutions to promote positive lifestyles
and mental health for children. Matthew Leone, founder Charity Bomb, says, “We are
