NASHVILLE, Tenn –– Indie singer/songwriter and country recording artist, Emily Pyscher (pronounced Pie-shure) is set to release her fifth studio recording, “Callin’ You Mine,”* in late June. Penned by Pyscher and produced by Emmy-winner Ken Royster (Luke Combs/Cowboy Troy/Tom O’Connor), the track will be availableFriday, June 24, 2022via all major digital retail and streaming outlets (Amazon/iTunes/ Pandora/Spotify/Tidal). Presale/Pre-save event begins Friday, June 10, 2022.
The upbeat, better than fiction, fall-in-love true story boasts airy instrumentals to create an imagery of butterflies canvassing a wide-open field similar to those along the country roads of Emily’s Michigan hometown. Banjo floats above dancing acoustic guitar, while electric riffs build the notion of a young budding romance. Drawing from the textures of her favorite song crafters and musical influences (Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert), the dynamic ebb and flow between the verses and chorus is a signature to the storyteller’s unique vocal delivery and style.
“I wrote this song just after purchasing a sundress (in preparation for a date); the date landed us in a beautiful wildflower field where we danced and took Polaroid pictures,” said nineteen-year-old, Emily Pyscher. “The exhilaration of the whole dreamy experience is what spawned the idea behind the song. …And yes, there was a second date!”
That sundress I saved for you
Honeysuckle field made for me and you
Boy I hope you don’t mind if I do it right this time
Boy I hope you don’t mind if I try on callin you mine
Cause Imma try on callin you mine
True to the storyline, the corresponding “Callin’ You Mine” music video will be shot in Michigan (Pyscher’s home state) and positioned for a world premiere in early July.
