KT Tunstall Shares Inner Workings Of Her Mind On New Album NUT

Blue Élan is very pleased to be releasing the new album from Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall on September 9th!  If you are not familiar with KT, you might know her better from her two smash hits “Suddenly I See” and “Black Horse And The Cherry Tree.” We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know KT and her upcoming record NUT.

Never one for creative stasis, the Grammy-nominated musician is known for her dynamic live performances, and knack for balancing introspective folk and propulsive rock. “I feel there are two immediate, recognizable pillars of my style,” she says. “I have this troubadour, acoustic guitar-driven emotional side. Then there’s definitely a rocker side of me with sharper teeth.”

You can check out the video to the lead single “Private Eyes” and pre-save the album at the links below!

NUT is the third album of a trilogy which explores the Body, Soul, and Mind, that began over six years ago. 2016’s KIN was all about the soul, 2018’s WAX brought attention to the body, and this final installment, NUT, explores the mind. Like many musicians, KT started working on this record during the pandemic lockdown, while simultaneously writing a musical for the stage.

Every song on the record is connected by a thread, woven throughout their lyrics. Join KT as she jumps in the pilot seat and ventures through the canyons of her mind. Pre-order NUT today along with other fun items like temporary tattoos, limited edition LPs, an eco-friendly tee and more!
