Drawing from her love of Tennessee and her hometown of New York City, where she shares her time, Jenna Torres wrote her latest single where she lights it up, “Tennessee Heat,” the first single off of a forthcoming album.
The truth is my connection to Nashville is kind of like a love affair,” Torres said. “When I am gone, I miss it and I long to come back to feel its warmth again. Summers in Tennessee are undeniably steamy and sexy. There is something about the southern heat that makes the temperature rise inside and out.
Torres worked with a great lineup of Nashville-based musicians and friends, including Charlie Chamberlain and Irakli Gabriel, recording “Tennessee Heat” at Forty-one Fifteen Studios. A press release for the new single states, “The beauty of the Tennessee landscape and the power that drives a night of passion are played out through the sultry stomper, with fierce guitar riffs and pounding drum beats building the tension before moving into its explosive chorus.”
For the accompanying music video, Josh and Keturah Bishop of A Window In A Tunnel, directed and edited their work to create a stunning landscape-filled piece showcasing Torres amongst the barns and vast corn fields of a century-old tobacco farm, White’s Family Farm.
“When it came time to shoot in the 100-plus degree weather, it felt like I was in a dream,” Torres recalled. “The property stretched on for miles; it was just me and Tennessee! It could not have been more perfect.”
