(New York, NY – September 1, 2021) “Home is where the heart is.” The classic proverb, which first appeared in US literature around the mid-1800s, focuses on the notion that “home” isn’t a physical location but the place where you have a foundation of love. Singer-songwriter Chrissi Poland‘s new single “Destination Home” touches on those exact sentiments. Vocalizing the intricate balancing act of being an active touring musician as well as a new mom to a two-year-old baby girl, Poland gets honest about life in this mid-tempo adult contemporary-styled track. “Destination Home” will be available on all stream platforms this Friday, September 3, 2021.
The multi-instrumentalist Poland was born into a musically inclined family in a small southern Massachusetts town. As an adolescent, the musician took after her father and fell in love with percussion instruments. Poland’s passion for drums led her to multiple unique opportunities, including performing at both opening and closing concerts for the world renowned Drum Fantasy Camp in Los Angeles. As well as working with some of the most influential and innovative drummers of the 20th and 21st centuries, including Modern Drummer Hall of Famer Dave Weckl, Todd Sucherman and Shawn Pelton. The Berklee College of Music alumna has lent her voice and talents to successful series on Netflix, HBO and Bravo as well as in numerous global and national commercials including the I Heart NY Campaign where the musician can be heard welcoming everyone to the post-pandemic “re-opening” of NYC.
Her second release this year, Chrissi Poland’s “Destination Home” will be available on all streaming platforms this Friday, September 3, 2021. Her new EP, Destination Home is scheduled to be released on October 22, 2021.
