(Nashville, Tenn. – Aug 2, 2018) London’s largest free Country Music Festival, Nashville Meets London, held July 28-29, 2018 in Canary Wharf drew thousands of festivalgoers and concluded with record-breaking attendance this past weekend. Each year, the event features established and exciting new talent from the heart of country music, Nashville, Tennessee and the U.K., and continues to grow in popularity.
This year’s festival talent lineup included ‘NASHVILLE’ actor, singer-songwriter, and musician Sam Palladio representing the U.S. and U.K., and representing the U.S. was multi-award-winning vocalist and instrumentalist Tyminski; female Country Rock duo The Sisterhood Band; and Dylan Schneider, who has been labeled by Billboard as “Country Music’s Next Rising Star” and has surpassed 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Representing the U.K. was Country Pop trio The Adelaides, singer-songwriter Frankie Davies, BCMA Female Vocalist of The Year Jade Helliwell, UK country-pop duoHolloway Road, multi-award-winning and multi-platinum selling folk, rock, and pop band Keywest, Alt-country/folk duo Two Ways Home, and the tenacious female duo and multi-instrumentalistsWorry Dolls.
The Nashville Meets London Music Festival is co-produced by Canary Wharf Arts + Events, Peter Conway Management and Christy Walker-Watkins and Matt Watkins with a Nashville-based agency, The AristoMedia Group. Baylen Leonard, U.K. based radio host, is an artistic program consultant. Ascot Travel Services exclusively booked travel for this year’s festival.
Prior to the festival, event organizers kicked-off the music-filled weekend with two newly added events, both of which were SOLD OUT. On the heels of the successful Nashville Meets London Presents monthly residency, organizers added a pre-festival Nashville Meets London Opening Night Party at PizzaExpress Live (Holborn), held on Thursday, July 26. The music-filled evening featured an array of short performances, including by The Bass Brothers, Elles Bailey, Raintown, Scarlette Fever, and Twinnie.
On Friday, July 27, Buck’ N Bull Saloon and Nashville Meets London came together for the ‘Southern Fridays’ boat cruise down the River Thames. The event featured acoustic performances by Liv Austen, Frankie Davies, Megan O’Neill, and Raintown, and a DJ set by Baylen Leonard.
