Singer-songwriter Rachel Eckroth has announced the release of her new album, When It Falls, out on Oct. 19 and produced by bassist, producer and husband Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie’s Blackstar and Tedeschi Trucks Band).
Eckroth’s album focuses on themes of love, change, hope and uncertainty, featuring renowned guitarists Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall II, drummer Matt Chamberlain, Gary Novak and Sterling Campbell.Â
Although known as a jazz keyboardist, Eckroth channels her inner songwriting and singing sensation, and features much of David Bowie’s influence on her music. She will tour with Rufus Wainwright, opening for him, along with playing in his band this fall. For full tour dates, click here.Â
Eckroth recently played keyboards with experimental jazz trio, Antelog, and performed as the backing vocalist and keyboardist for singer and songwriter, KT Tunstall. She also performed in the house band for NBC’s “The Meredith Vieira Show,” and was the assistant music director for the Women’s March in D.C. in early 2017.
