Vanessa Izabella checked out the Vidami pedal and here’s what she had to say in her gear review.
Hey, everyone. Vanessa Izabella here for Guitar Girl Magazine. Today, we’re going to talk about the Vidami looper pedal. The Vidami is a really cool pedal because you can play, pause, rewind, fast forward, loop, and slow down videos on YouTube. So it’s a really great learning tool if you’re trying to learn chords, or a riff, or a guitar solo from a YouTube video. The best part about it is you can use all the controls with your feet, so your fingers don’t have to come off the fretboard.
I will use my own YouTube video for this example, so I don’t infringe on anyone’s copyrights. You can Pause and Play with one click, one click of the Back button takes you back five seconds. One click of the Forward button takes you ahead five seconds. If you hold down the Back button, it’ll take you back to the beginning of the video. When the section of the song comes up that you want to loop, you click the Loop button once at the beginning of the section you want to loop. At the end, you click it again, and you have your loop. Now, it’s just going to keep playing that loop over and over again.
From here, you can adjust the speed. You can go down to 75%, 50%, 35%, or 20% of the original video speed. Once you get down to 20% of the speed, if you click the Speed button again, it goes back to full speed. To get out of that loop, all you have to do is hit the Loop button again.
Hey, thanks for checking out the video. As you can see, the Vidami is a really cool learning tool. YouTube is such a great resource for information, and lessons, and solos. I think that the Vidami pedal could be a really great tool. Also, I think it goes beyond playing guitar. I think if you play a wind instrument like trumpet, saxophone, flute, or another stringed instrument like violin, viola or cello, I think that this could be a really great learning tool for you as well.
