Eljuri on Guitars: A Personal Guide to Finding Your Inner Voice

Guitarist Cecilia Villar Eljuri recently released “Eljuri on Guitars” on SoundCloud as a three-part educational series created to provide tips and advice for inspiring people to find their “inner voice” and to pick up a guitar a play.

According to a recent press release, Eljuri said, “I decided to share a three part series on guitars because I want to help, especially young people, find a way to access their inner voice. The guitar literally gave me the ability to put my thoughts into song and music…”

The entire three-part series can be heard by clicking HERE.

Eljuri walks you through each series and describes:

Part One: Getting Hooked
Part One shares my earliest experiences with a guitar and my advice as to how you can tell when you’re ready for your first guitar.”

Part Two: Your First Guitar
“Part Two includes three important things to do before you buy a guitar, how to buy your first guitar and my experiences with my first guitars.”

Part Three: Finding Your Voice
“And Part Three will help you with tips to maintain your guitar and different ways to approach how to learn to play your guitar and how I learned and continue to learn new things about my guitar and how I play it.”

Eljuri will kick off this educational initiative beginning November 21, 2013 at schools and community centers in Mexico City. Dates for 2014 workshops in the US will be announced soon.

Supporting Eljuri in this educational initiative to inspire beginning guitar players is Mandovill Records and Gibson Guitars. Gibson Guitars is currently featuring Eljuri and her “Eljuri on Guitars” series on their website (http://www.gibsonguitar.es/Noticias-y-Reportajes/Articulos/es-es/Eljuri-y-sus-consejos-practicos-para-guitarristas.aspx).
