Keep A Breast is a non-profit organization that focuses on reducing breast cancer risk and its global impact through art, education, prevention and action. October is Breast Cancer Prevention month, and as always Gritty In Pink wants to continue the conversation by providing a platform for women to discuss this important issue that affects on average 1 in 8 women in the United States. Viewers can participate in the fundraiser by donating directly to Keep A Breast during the show.
40% of diagnosed breast cancers are detected by women who feel their own lump. For more information on how you can self-check, visit the App store and download the Keep A Breast App to learn how to self-check and schedule an automatic monthly reminder.
Shira Yevin, frontwoman of Shiragirl and Gritty In Pink Founder says, “We are thrilled to once again team up with Keep A Breast, an amazing female-founded organization that goes beyond awareness to focus on breast cancer prevention. KAB and founder Shaney Jo have been so supportive of Gritty In Pink from the start, and our connection goes all the way back to the Warped Tour Shiragirl Stage days, so it’s only fitting we would come together this October to honor Breast Cancer Prevention month.”
