GRITTY IN PINK AND LIVE NATION WOMEN BRIDGE UNDERREPRESENTED ARTISTS AND UTAH CROWDS AT MIND THE GAP FEST

Los Angeles, CA – August 2023 | Gritty In Pink showed up and out at the first-ever Mind the Gap Fest at The Gateway in Salt Lake City, Utah! Gritty In Pink hosted the booming pink stage with Live Nation Women showcasing underrepresented artists including Destroy Boys, Yaeji, Coco & Clair Clair, Hemlocke Springs, Boyish, Hannah Jadagu, Maita, and 26 Fix on International Women’s Day, August 26. The sets celebrated the power of uniting people through music!

The festival stage, hosted by Shiragirl and Shell Danis from KRCL, delivered an array of captivating musical sets that uplifted women and non-binary artists. The performances  were marked by the raucous crowd of Destroy Boys and the headlining visuals and choreography of Yaeji.

In addition to Gritty’s branded stage, the organization spoke to the backstage crew and artists about their INPINK platform, which helps women showcase their creative skills to get hired in any sector of the music industry. Gritty also interviewed several artists with content releasing this week.

As part of Mind the Gap Fest’s commitment to reducing disparities between men and women in income, executive positions, political representation, and educational attainment, a portion of ticket sales was dedicated to establishing a scholarship fund at The Salt Lake Community College. This fund aims to support individuals interested in pursuing degrees in the entertainment industry, contributing to a more diverse and equitable future.

To support more women in music and get your Emo on, Gritty In Pink invites those in the Los Angeles area to save the date for our All GRL Emo Jam on September 7! To stay updated on Gritty In Pink, visit their Instagram or www.grittyinpink.co for more information and future announcements.
