Sariah explains, “I’m the type of girl that when I invest my emotions, I do so wholeheartedly. The issue is that as soon as I start to trust men, I’m often left disappointed and hurt — whether it’s them playing games or being unfaithful. In a generation where true love seems elusive, ‘Compare’ is my way of expressing that, while you can try your hand at finding someone better, no one can match the depth of my heart and what I have to offer.”
Hailing from a small suburb just outside the megalopolis of New York City, Sariah began singing early on, revealing a rich, sensual voice. Spending heaps of time in the studio working on her music, she found solace from the vagaries of life through channeling her emotions.
Sariah’s sound blends elements of R&B, hip-hop, pop, and soul into intoxicatingly voluptuous sonic concoctions, highlighted by her sumptuously expressive voice. It’s one of those voices that oozes syrupy, sultry tones and deep passion.

“Compare” opens on a low-slung, soulful guitar flowing into a hip-hop-lite rhythm juxtaposing a thumping kick drum and snapping sidestick snare against swirling harmonic colors. Sariah’s irresistible voice enters, imbuing the lyrics with luscious, hypnotic tones that drip with yearning nuances.
Poignant lyrics divulge the heartrending pain of the relationship: “You just take advantage / Put your pride aside for once / While I am trying to do the most / You too busy acting like you don’t care.”
