The Fender GDec3 is a great learning tool and practice amp with seemingly endless possibilities. It is like having a virtual band! There are 100 factory and user presets, 76 onboard backing tracks recorded by famous musicians. You can also connect to your computer, and there is also MP3 playback, too.
I love the endless choices of drum and bass loops that you can modify, including the tempo. This feature is a great learning tool for students learning to improvise and students that have an aversion to practicing to a metronome. You can also record yourself which is great for songwriting and analyzing your playing.
You can even plug in your ipod and play along. Love the digital tuner, also.
Some modeling amps can be complicated but this amp is very user friendly and affordable.
I recommend this amp for beginners and pros, only negative is that it is just not powerful enough to use in a live situation but perfect for practice.
