EarthQuaker Devices pedal give-away and Monolith On The Mesa festival passes

February 4, 2020 (Taos, New Mexico) – Monolith on the Mesa partners with EarthQuaker Devices (EQD) for an amazing give-away on Instagram and reveals poster for 2020 by Simon Berndt featuring full festival line-up (all 40 bands).

In an exciting partnership Monolith on the Mesa and EarthQuaker Devices have come together to offer fans a chance to win big. “EarthQuaker Devices is very excited to team up with Monolith On The Mesa for a once in a lifetime giveaway!” EQD spokesperson Uri Garcia explains. “One lucky winner will receive two (2) passes to the complete Monolith On The Mesa High Desert Experience AND an EarthQuaker Devices Sunn O))) Life Pedal! Exhale psyched out space riffs with your very own Octave Distortion + Booster, then get even more inspiration from the many great heavy bands that will be performing this year. Learn more about Life Pedal HERE.”

Full contest details will be posted to Instagram (@earthquakerdev and @monolithonthemesa) twice in the coming days (however it should be noted that his giveaway is in no way affiliated with Instagram):
First post: Tuesday February 4th at 12:00 EST
Second post: Sunday February 9th at 09:00 EST

To enter the contest fans will need to like the photo; tag three friends; follow both @earthquakerdev and @monolithonthemesa. The winner will be selected at random from the entries that fulfill all the requirements listed. EarthQuaker Devices and Monolith on the Mesa will announce the winner in an Instagram story on February 12, 2020.

As was the case last year, EQD will have a team member playing the festival. In 2019 that included Lisa Bella Donna (both solo and with EYE), and this year that will be Relaxer featuring EQD President/Founder Jamie Stillman on guitar. Visit Relaxer online at relaxersystem.bandcamp.com or @relaxerband or relaxerband.com.

The incredible poster art for the festival was once again produced by Simon Berndt. Berndt is based in South Africa and is a full-time illustrator with a degree in graphic design from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. His work draws inspiration from classic rock, with a distinctive psychedelic color palette. He has produced vintage-inspired poster artwork for Levitation Festival/Austin Psych Fest, Endless Daze Festival, Hell Fest and now Monolith on the Mesa for two years running.

“This year’s poster is part of a story line poster-series with Simon Berndt,” festival founder Dano Sanchez explains. “When I first saw Simon’s art I knew that he was the artist we wanted to work with. He understood my references and elevated them to the next level. With a nod to Alejandro Jodorowsky’s film of psychomagical realism, Holy Mountain, the setting depicted is perfect! The road to Monolith is a journey and an adventure as we move towards the high desert in search of a psychospiritual modality through which to share music, appreciate art, and just embrace the privilege to unplug from the vigorous momentum of our daily lives. Here on the mesa we can create a positive vibe and send a beam of focused intention out to the universe. This year Simon knocked it out of the park again with a bit of sci-fi for 2020. Our traveler has embarked on a lengthy journey to get to the source. Floating cabinets emit sub frequency tones that free the mind of chatter and transmit inner visions of psychedelic proportions.”
