ARTIST DESIGN SERIES
The Wayne Kramer Dreadnought is a distinctively classy Fender acoustic bearing the personal design touches of the celebrated MC5 founder and punk godfather Wayne Kramer, with an elegant Vintage Sunburst finish on its spruce top, dark and richly stained mahogany sides and back, and fingerboard and headstock inlay work by acclaimed artist/illustrator Shepard Fairey of Obey fame. Other features include aged white neck and body binding and specially designed rosette, checkered back strip, quartersawn scalloped “X” bracing, mahogany neck with “soft V” profile and large ‘70s headstock, 20-fret Indian rosewood fingerboard with 11.81” radius, three-ply black pickguard, Fender “Viking”-style rosewood bridge, open-gear tuners with pearloid buttons, Fishman ® Isys™ III pickup/preamp system with built-in tuner and Kramer’s signature on the truss rod cover.
Fender’s Robert Schmidt Plectrum Banjo delivers the great sparkling five-string tone and vibe the Flogging Molly multi-instrumentalist is so well known for. Schmidt designed his signature banjo to withstand the rigors of both the road and his energetic playing style, so it’ll take whatever you give it and laugh while it asks for more. Features include an all-maple rim and neck with dark walnut-stain finish, 10-ply laminated maple resonator, chrome bell brass tone ring, one-piece flange and tube, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white pearloid crown inlays and aged white binding, maple bridge with ebony tip, chrome tuners with white pearloid buttons, Fishman® Rare Earth™ banjo pickup for great amplified sound and performance, and Schmidt’s signature on the headstock.
Renowned skateboarder Tony Alva is no stranger to empty pools or to making music with fellow Orange County, Calif., musicians in punk band G. F. P., so we invited him to design an acoustic model with us. The resulting Tony Alva White Lotus Sonoran™ SCE dreadnought cutaway model is as truly distinctive as the man’s skating style. The two-tone look consists of a White Pearl gloss finish on a solid spruce top, elegantly complemented by a Shoreline Gold finish on its mahogany back and sides. Alva didn’t stop there, however–he also added dual three-ply black pickguards, an “Alva” lotus graphic at the 12th fret, and a Fishman® Isys™ III pickup system with active onboard preamp and tuner.
FOLK MUSIC INSTRUMENTS
With an upgraded design for modern players, Fender’s new eight-string Mando-Strat® 8 has the unmistakable chiming ring of a traditional mandolin and the charmingly distinctive design style of Fender’s four-string electric mandolins of the 1950s and ‘60s. Features include eight strings arranged in four courses, a solid alder body, 13.78” scale length, maple neck with “C”-shaped profile and Fender Villager™ headstock, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, specially designed pickup with knurled chrome “flat-top” volume and tone controls, three-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, vintage-style adjustable bridge with two threaded steel saddles, vintage-style tuners with aged white buttons, and elegant Three-Color Sunburst gloss finish.
Combine Fender T-Bucket™ styling with a finely crafted tenor ukulele, and the result is the truly supercharged T-Bucket Ukulele. It’s a special instrument with a beautiful flame maple top, mahogany back and sides, aged white neck and body binding, T-Bucket pinstriped rosette and elegant Three-Color Sunburst gloss finish. Other features include scalloped fan bracing, 17” scale, mahogany neck with a comfortable “U”-shaped profile and gloss finish, 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with bone nut, rosewood bridge with compensated bone saddle, and Fishman® Kula pickup/preamp system with built-in tuner and a mini-USB output.

Fender’s Sonoran™ SCE guitar is decked out for even more sun-and-fun acoustic action, upgraded with a three-ply pearloid pickguard, bone nut, vintage-style Fender “Viking” rosewood bridge with bone saddle, and new Surf Green and Shell Pink custom-color gloss finishes with matching Stratocaster®headstocks. Other premium features include a “tight” dreadnought body shape with a convenient cutaway, solid spruce top with quartersawn scalloped X bracing, mahogany back and sides, stylish checkerboard rosette and pearloid body binding, maple neck with “C”-shaped profile and dual-action truss rod, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with 11.81” radius, vintage-style tuners with aged white buttons, and Fishman® Isys ™ III pickup system with active onboard preamp and tuner.
Big in size, volume and vibe, the Kingman™ Jumbo SCE cutaway acoustic really cuts through the mix. Its sweet-sounding solid-spruce top produces loud, booming bass and nicely even tone, with a laminated mahogany back and sides that contribute pleasingly mellow warmth, all with an elegantly striking Three-Color Sunburst body and neck finish. The maple Stratocaster guitar neck has a comfortable “C”-shaped profile and imparts a classic look evoking Fender’s great sun-and-fun acoustics of the 1960s.
