MERIDIAN, MS — Peavey Electronics® proudly announces that its DM™ 112 Dark Matter™ loudspeaker recently received a Product Excellence Award from Music Inc. magazine. As featured in the publication’s annual “The Excellence Issue,” Peavey’s speaker enclosure was recognized among the industry’s top gear, as selected by music retailers who help their customers make well-informed decisions.

“Since 1975, Peavey has revolutionized the working man’s loudspeaker. We’ve done it again with the high-SPL Dark Matter series, and we’re honored to have been recognized by Music. Inc. Magazine for product excellence,” said Courtland Gray, Chief Operating Officer at Peavey. “The DM 112 is one of four models in Peavey’s Dark Matter series, which has a new advanced DSP-equipped power section. This enables the speakers to outperform any existing enclosures in the category and produce best-in-class crystal-clear, professional audio for DJs, bands and other musical applications.”

According to Music Inc. Magazine, retailers praised the DM 112 for its clean audio performance at an affordable price. The DM 112 is fan-cooled for maximum reliability and features 110- by 80-degree coverage by Peavey’s exclusive Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology, which helps to deliver precise sound. The Dark Matter LCD display and associated selector knob allow users to choose various parameters of operation for the DSP-based EQ. This includes bass and treble control access, as well as EQ presets that provide users with a highly flexible method of configuring the powered speaker system for a specific use with minimal time and effort.
