FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 15, 2019 Ahead of the February 7th release of her highly-anticipated sophomore album Far From Home on Soundly Music, Aubrie Sellers releases the albums reflective title track as her latest single. Far From Home, written by Aubrie alongside Park Chisholm, takes listeners on a sweeping, cinematic journey as Aubries delicate vocals express both a weary loneliness and an unwavering faith that it wont always be that way. This song came from the feeling of being disconnected from others, or never quite fitting in, Aubrie reveals. Feeling like Im not in the right place is something that seems to follow me around. It can seem like youre speaking a different language than everyone else, always looking for something more or something more right. Far From Home is about that loneliness, with the hope that we will all find our place eventually.
Far From Home offers another glimpse into the introspective vulnerability of Aubries forthcoming sophomore album, co-produced by Aubrie and Frank Liddell (Miranda Lambert, Brandi Carlile, Jack Ingram) and recorded at Sonic Ranch outside of El Paso, Texas. Aubrie previously released singles Drag You Down, My Love Will Not Change ft. Steve Earle, and Worried Mind, which were each met with critical praise. Billboard pronounced Drag You Down a rollicking single that will soar in the live setting, Rolling Stone observed that Aubrie and legendary musician Steve Earle transformed My Love Will Not Change into a hard-driving rock anthem thats less an ode to comforting commitment and more a statement of gritty defiance, and Refinery29 declared Worried Mind an integral thread in Sellers tapestry. Aubrie recently opened up to HuffPost Personal about the crippling anxiety that inspired Worried Mind, and how she continues to work to overcome it (read Aubries full essay here). All four released tracks are available instantly upon pre-ordering Far From Home here.
With Far From Home, Aubrie introduces her first new music in three years following the release of 2016s standout debut album New City Blues. Aubrie has been named an artist to watch by outlets across all genres including Rolling Stone, Billboard, ELLE, NYLON, Cosmopolitan, Spotify, Pandora, and CMTs Next Women of Country, and she has played major festivals ranging from Austin City Limits and SXSW to Bonnaroo and Stagecoach. Aubrie will make her acting debut later this month as Sarah in The Wallis & For The Records production of LOVE ACTUALLY LIVE, which will run from November 27th through December 29th at The Wallis Annenberg Center in Los Angeles.
