Hear Colleen Green’s “Someone Else,” a new offering from Cool

You can now listen to Colleen Green’s “Someone Else,” a mid-tempo jam, and the opening track on Cool, her forthcoming album out September 10th on Hardly Art.

Green says of the single, “This song is about double standards within a relationship, and how they can go both ways. It’s about coming to terms with you how you actually feel about something and taking responsibility for how that affects you. It’s about taking back power in a one-sided relationship and not letting someone else dictate your happiness. It’s about choices and the act of making them.”

Cool, which features official videos for “I Wanna Be a Dog” and “It’s Nice to Be Nice” along with “Highway” and the aforementioned “Someone Else,” will be released on LP/CD/CS/DSPs, and is available for preorder now from Hardly Art. LPs preordered through Hardly Art Mini Martselect independent retailers in North Americathe UK, and EU will receive the vinyl on cool, cloudy smoke vinyl (while supplies last).

Cool is Green’s first record since her acclaimed 2015 release I Want To Grow Up. It was produced by Gordon Raphael and Green, mixed by Brendan Eder, and recorded at Southern California studios comp-ny (Glendale), Tenement Yard (North Hollywood), and Cosmic Vinyl (Los Angeles), and was mastered by Frida Claeson Johansson at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg, Sweden.
