Rachel Bochner Explores Bisexuality In New Ultraviolet Music Video OUT 6/10

New York, NY – After months of getting lost in self-reflection, Rachel Bochner turned to songwriting to help her come to terms with her sexuality. Creating Ultraviolet, a track off of her debut EP 2 AM, offered Rachel a safe space to explore what she was feeling and come out with clarity on the other end. The release of the Ultraviolet video is the first time Rachel will so publicly address her bisexuality, and she hopes it can serve as the positive representation and validation a viewer might be searching for.

The heart flutter-y song has been featured on Spotify editorial playlists such as Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds Pop. As a songwriter first and foremost, Rachel’s passion lies in making pop music that resonates with people, and Ultraviolet might be her most vulnerable piece yet. Rachel is excited (and admittedly nervous) to share the official music video for Ultraviolet on June 10th in honor of Pride Month.

Here’s what she had to say about it: “The Ultraviolet video felt like a really important step in accepting who I am and embracing it. To me, the video is a beautiful illustration of that twinkly feeling you get when you realize you have feelings for someone – regardless of that someone’s gender. Bisexual people often face a lot of invalidation, and I hope that in some way I can help fight that. If you identify as bisexual, you are valid. If you’re bisexual but have only dated people of the opposite gender, or even if you’ve never been in a relationship at all, you are valid. Period.”
