Mumford & Sons to perform at The Americana Honors & Awards on Wednesday, September 11

The Americana Music Association’s 18th annual awards ceremony have added the prolific group to their list of performers for Wednesday evening at the Ryman Auditorium

The Americana Music Association has just revealed that GRAMMY-winning group Mumford & Sons will be performing at this year’s Americana Honors & Awards, held at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. Americana music’s biggest night takes place this Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 PM CT. On Wednesday, a limited number of tickets will be available for purchase from 9 AM – 4 PM at the AMERICANAFEST Registration Desk located inside The Westin Nashville (807 Clark Place, Nashville, TN 37203).

Mumford & Sons, who won the 2011 Americana Emerging Act of the Year Award, are currently in the midst of their worldwide Delta Tour, celebrating their most recent record which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and the Americana/Folk Albums Charts.

Previously announced performers include Jade Bird, Brandi Carlile, Elvis Costello, Mark Erelli, Rhiannon Giddens, I’m With Her, Ruston Kelly, Delbert McClinton, Lori McKenna, Maria Muldaur, John Prine, J.S. Ondara, Our Native Daughters, Erin Rae, Amanda Shires, Mavis Staples, The War and Treaty and Yola. The critically acclaimed program promises to have additional surprises in store.

The 18th Annual Americana Honors & Awards is the hallmark event of AMERICANAFEST, which begins tomorrow, September 10, and will continue all week long through Sunday, September 15.
