Gritty in Pink Announces Lineup for GRL Virtual Tour of Women in Music

Gritty Rocks Live! GRL Livestream Features Artists from 8 U.S. Cities

LOS ANGELES, CA: Gritty in Pink is announcing the incredible all-female lineup of their upcoming GRL Virtual Tour. Gritty Rocks Live! (GRL) is a weekly themed Instagram livestream show featuring female musicians from across the country and beyond. In January 2020, Gritty in Pink started a successful monthly live concert series in L.A. Then COVID-19 hit, and the founders created GRL to provide artists with connection and performance opportunities.

Every Tuesday night, GRL features a live charity fundraiser, sponsors giveaways, intimate performances, artist interviews, and audience engagement. Artists of diverse backgrounds come together to revel in the virtual community space and create lasting connections, in a fun format hosted by Vans Warped Tour legends Shiragirl. Past appearances have included musicians from Bad Cop Bad Cop, The Bombpops, Eva Gardner (bassist for P!nk), and Pearl with Scott Ian from Anthrax.

Starting July 7 and hitting eight major cities across the U.S., the virtual GRL tour starts in New York and ends in Los Angeles in August. The lineup features such luminaries as Jennifer Finch of L7, Bad Cop Bad Cop, Eyes Set to Kill, and Fea, along with hot emerging acts such as Doll Skin, Whitney Peyton, Plasma Canvas, Reverie, Shea Diamond, and Madeline Rosene, who shares, “I often ask myself: is there a cooler group of people than Gritty in Pink? I GENUINELY don’t think doper people exist. Their mission, attitude, and commitment to female empowerment through the strength of music is inspiring and beautiful. Girl. Fucking. Power.”

Gritty in Pink will partner with several charities to hold live fundraisers within the Livestream: Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, benefitting female artists who facing challenging times due to COVID; Headcount, which focuses on driving voter registration through the power of music; and ACLU, fighting for civil rights, in a pivotal moment in history. Says Vicki Fox from ACLU Socal, “We are very appreciative of the support of Gritty in Pink in support of our ongoing work to ensure justice and equality for all people.” The GRL Virtual Tour also has several sponsor partners, including the female/black-owned business Bootypacks, which will feature giveaways of custom Gritty in Pink masks.

“We are so excited to announce the awesome lineup and partners for our Gritty Rocks Live Virtual Tour!” says Gritty in Pink founder Shira Yevin. “With the ongoing support for our GRL weekly Livestream, our team thought this was a fun way to bring the community vibes of Gritty in Pink cross-country and expand our female-powered network.

“One advantage of going digital has been the ability to include artists from all locations. We feel, now more than ever, the country needs to come together, and this is an awesome opportunity to unite and connect female artists of all genres and backgrounds. Since we can’t tour the country due to the pandemic, this is the next best way to see America this summer!”
