Gritty In Pink embarked on their first stop of their 2021 virtual summer tour in NYC this July; that episode can be viewed on their IGTV. Shiragirl and Rainey P opened the show with the Shiragirl original “I Must Be Dreamin.” Tatiana Clay from Sweet Relief joined to discuss the organization’s mission to help struggling individuals within the music industry and expanding resources during the pandemic. “We are still seeing applications come in, just because the industry is coming back, doesn’t mean everyone is getting their jobs back.” The Sweet Relief Musicians Fund provides financial assistance to musicians and music professionals who are struggling financially if they are facing an illness, disability or age-related issues, over its 27-year span the organization has helped countless music professionals.

The rest of the show did not disappoint. Pop artist Shenna swooned the audience with an acoustic version of her song “They Call It Lazy” and talked about working on the music video for the song: “I wanted to show how I feel about the music industry. I don’t want to be controlled, and sometimes I feel like a robot.” Gritty newcomer Jules Walcott joined the show with a cover of Tove Lo’s “Habit”, discussed her breakthrough on TikTok and upcoming single “Let Me Go.” Mia Giovina serenaded everyone with her new single “Time Machine.” Elle Baez performed her new disco-infused single “Better With You”.
