July 28, 2022 — Nashville, TN – RECORDS Nashville singer/songwriter Jennifer Hart will be releasing a brand-new single, “18” next Friday, August 5th. Co-written by Jennifer along with hit songwriters Paul DiGiovanni (Dan + Shay, Justin Moore) and Derrick Southerland (Carrie Underwood, Ingrid Andress) and produced by Brandon Hood, “18” will be the first single off of a forthcoming new project. Fans can pre-save/pre-add “18” HERE now.
“18” finds Hart pining for the coming-of-age romance she envisioned as a young girl. “I know that’s not how our story goes…but if it were up to me, I probably woulda met you at 18,” she sings to her future partner, striking a balance between an impatient heart and her acceptance of God’s plan.
Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, Jennifer Hart (formerly known as Jennifer Smestad) now calls Music City home. In May 2019, Jennifer funneled a combination of homesickness, faith, and family values into the original composition “Half The Man,” which quickly went viral, racking up more than 20 million views on TikTok, over 12 million spins on Spotify and nearly 6 million views on YouTube.
Committed to writing more organic, open-hearted songs from the heart, Jennifer has teamed up with producer Brandon Hood for her next project, creating new music that leans toward the country side of the country-pop bridge, blending pedal steel, mandolin, and other traditional textures with Hart’s contemporary writing.
Jennifer has a publishing deal with TwentySeven Music Publishing (in partnership with Sony Music Publishing), and is managed by Hill Entertainment Group.
