LIP TALK–the solo moniker of Sarah K. Pedinotti, an experimental pop producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York—today, shared “Solar Return”, a nostalgic and celebratory single about time passing. “It’s a snapshot of how we celebrated a birthday during 2020,” Pedinotti explains. “It’s about memory and the present moment; witnessing your own life reflected back through an old friend.” The song arrives alongside a music video cut from footage from that time.

“Solar Return” follows previous standalone singles “Bargain Day” and “More”, which were made as part of her ongoing song-a-day writing experiment called ‘These Are Photographs,’ where Pedinotti meditates on an image and writes and records a new track in a single day.
LIP TALK is a frequent collaborator and player in numerous bands, including Kalbells, Hayley Williams, Okkervil River, and The Secret Machines, as well as a songwriter for the band, Cuddle Magic and Benjamin Lazar Davis. She’s spent the past few years juggling being a session musician, producing her first solo album, and touring internationally, sharing stages with many including, The Roots, NaS, Little Dragon, Esperanza Spaulding, Interpol, and The Wynton Marsalis Lincoln Center Band.
